Version 55 of Lethal Company was released on Steam on the 6 July 2024.

Note: The version string in the game says "V56" but since Zeekerss officially calls it "Version 55" this has been renamed.

  • Fixed the speed glitch bug that was related to negative weight.

  • Fixed a bug where multiple entities were assigned to the same vent, resulting in "ghost entities".
  • Fixed a bug where the Shotgun could hit the same entity multiple times.
  • The Forest Giant no longer instantly kills employees that are standing above its spawn position.
  • Fixed a bug where Baboon Hawks were able to deal damage while stunned or dead.
  • Fixed a bug where the Employee was able to use the Zap-Gun while in an animation with an entity.

  • Outdoor trees now count as terrain, meaning entities like the Forest Giants can see through them and the Shotgun is able to shoot through them.

Update 2 (3. July)

Gameplay Changes

  • Weed Killer changes.
    • Its price was reduced from 60c to 40c.
    • It can now be used to repair the Company Cruiser, or when its HP is at max, add turbo boosts to it.
  • Company Cruiser changes.
    • It's now possible to jump when seated to slightly move the truck. The cruiser will jump significantly higher when turbo boosted.
    • Slightly increased its durability and lessened the lethality to its passengers.
    • The cruiser now blocks line of sight of Forest Keepers.
    • The cruiser's engine noises can no longer be heard by the Company Monster.
    • The increase in chance to start ignition on the next attempt when ignition fails was increased from +15% to +24%.
    • Eyeless Dogs and Forest Giants can no longer kill seated employees when the door is closed.
  • Kidnapper Fox changes.
    • Its overall speed was increased by 20%.
    • The fox now gradually expands the range at which it searches for employees, but will quickly decrease this range when spotted.
    • It will no longer enter the ship to attack employees, and its dragging speed around the ship is now the same as everywhere else.
    • The fox will now release players when they shut the door on the tongue of the fox.
    • The fox will now no longer kill an employee, except if they are close to their nest or the employee has recently hit them.
  • Vain Shroud changes.
    • Removing all shrouds from the moon will stop them from re-growing at that position.
    • They now have a 20% chance to begin growing while the employees are landed on the moon.
  • Barbers can now spawn alone instead of in groups of 2.

    • Its indoor power was reverted from 14 to 4.
  • Dine map changes.
    • Its indoor spawn table has been adjusted.
  • Artifice map changes.
    • Its max daytime power has been decreased from 20 to 15.
    • Its indoor spawn chance curve has been adjusted. Indoor entities now tend to spawn later.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Trees were no longer granting cover from Forest Giants.
  • Fixed a bug where lightning was able to strike through the Company Cruiser.
  • Fixed some de-sync issues with the Company Cruiser when it was attached to the magnet.
  • Fixed a bug where the player's inventory would become soft-locked when grabbing items from the cruiser's shelf.
  • Fixed a bug where the cruiser's warranty would allow employees to purchase any items for free.

Update 3 (6. July)

Gameplay Changes

  • The Jetpack's price was increased from 700c to 900c.
  • Weeds can no longer grow very close to the ship.
  • Adjusted some friction values of the Company Cruiser.
  • Kidnapper Fox changes.
    • It can now enter the ship, but it will wait outside for some time before doing so.
    • Improved its ability to pick a hiding spot when spawning.
