Map Hazards are one of the many dangers employees may face in Lethal Company. These hazards can hinder a crews plan when collecting scrap, as they may prove difficult to traverse around. They often prove to be fatal.
All map hazards are able to be deactivated temporarily at the terminal.
Landmines[]

Landmines are explosive devices randomly scattered around the facility on the ground. When an employee, dead body, or item comes in contact with the landmine, it will explode. They will occasionally make a distinctive beeping sound to alert a player of its presence.
There can be anywhere between 0-35 landmines on your moon.
Landmines only trigger when either an item is dropped on it, or when a player(or player's body) moves off of it. This leaves room for several strategies to take care of them.
- Throw a flashbang or an easter egg at it
- drop a player's body on it and run away
- leave a player's body near it and hope a Hoarding Bug grabs it and walks over it
- step on it and get teleported off
- get killed right next to it and hope your body ragdolls onto it (this can kill whatever killed you, as well.)
Turrets[]

A turret is a mechanical device that will rapidly fire bullets if it sees a player. Unlike the other map hazards, the turret will not kill players in one hit, though it can still kill them in seconds. If it detects a player, it emits an orange light and gives an audio cue, and faces the players last known position(it only stops if you move out of its line of sight). Simply backtracking out of the room is typically enough to avoid death. Hitting one with a melee item will cause it to spin while firing for a short period of time.
There can be anywhere between 0-35 turrets on your moon.
Spike Trap[]

A spike trap is a mechanical trap with spikes attached to a platform suspended into the air by a large bar.
There can be anywhere between 0-18 spike traps on your moon.
They have two modes of activation. They can spawn on a set timer with a randomly chosen interval (0.8-26.2 sec), where they will slam down randomly. This makes it easier to avoid, as the sound of the trap slamming down will alert nearby players of its presence.
They can also spawn with detection mode, where they will simply slam down if it detects a player beneath it. This is much harder to avoid as this means players have to watch where they are going.
