The inverse teleporter is a ship upgrade that teleports any number of employees standing on its pad to randomly selected destinations inside the facility.
The inverse teleporter is activated by a yellow, glass-covered button next to the ship's monitor. Each target is teleported to a different random destination, leaving behind any scrap or items they were holding. The inverse teleporter takes 210 seconds to recharge, but it is only limited to how many employees can cram atop the pad.
The device is known to occasionally teleport employees directly in front of turrets, atop landmines, near Entities, inside locked rooms, hanging over pits or even directly over pits, stuck behind facility geometry such as bunker pipes, and even behind walls. It is necessary for employees to prepare themselves for these scenarios.
History[]
Version 40[]
- Introduced.
Version 47[]
- The destination of the inverse teleporter is now deterministic and based off the random seed.
Version 65[]
- Buying and keeping furniture in the ship now gains you "luck", which is factored into the amount that the quota increases when you fulfill it.
