Gift Box

The Gift Box was introduced in Version 45. Upon use, a random piece of Scrap will drop in front of you.

The Gift Box can drop large and small items, therefore it is recommended to only open once on the ship.
The external value of the Gift Box (upon scan) does not show the value of what's inside.
Scrap possibly spawned by the Gift Box are relative to the map the box was obtained from.
Scrap spawned from the Gift Box usually have higher average value than scrap naturally found in a moon's interior.
The contained scrap item is decided immediately when the box is spawned, but if you save and reload, the item is forgotten and rerolled, with the new item depending on the orbited planet and the position of the box when it loads in. If you are orbiting the Company Moon when you save and reload, the box will be empty. If you place the box right in front of the door and save and reload while orbiting Rend, it will open up to give a 138-value Cash Register. Due to ship bounding box limits, this is the highest value the save and reload trick can give, although boxes without the trick can give higher rewards rarely.
On Single Item Day, the Gift Box will always be worth 50▮

Items from the Gift Box are dependent on the round's seed meaning on challenge moon runs the contents inside will be consistent across other runs
Items from gift boxes should now always stay on the ship when it moves.
Prevented a case where players could take the same item out of a gift box infinite times if it somehow was not able to be de-spawned.
Decreased the chance of gift boxes to spawn.
