Lethal Company Wiki

Dine is a moon in Lethal Company, it costs 600 credits to go to, has a risk level of S, and has a difficulty rating of hard.

Compared to its closely related cousin, Rend, Dine can actually be flooded, for some unknown reason, despite being a very cold moon in a constant blizzard.

The constant blizzard makes it hard to see far, so using the dark path on the ground as guidance can be helpful, because unlike Rend, Dine does not have light-posts leading from the ship to the main entrance. It also dampens sound, which makes communication over larger distances hard without Walkie-talkies. Despite this, Eyeless Dogs can still hear you perfectly clearly. Forest Keepers, while being much more difficult to see through the fog, don't seem to have much trouble at all spotting you, making them more difficult to deal with than on the easy/medium moons.

Dine does have one major difference from Rend, and every other moon for that matter, with it housing a massive amount of loot, even higher than that of Artifice. However, the majority of this loot has a low maximum value, with the Heart being the only exception. This loot is also almost all exclusive to the moon, except the Whoopie Cushion and Easter Egg. Dine also has a higher average spawn count of turrets and mines compared to Rend, making it a very risky option.

Moon Info[]

7-Dine
-------------------------
POPULATION: Abandoned.
CONDITIONS: Its planet orbits white dwarf star, making for inhospitable, cold conditions. Constant blizzards decrease visibility.
HISTORY: Several famous travelers went missing here, giving it some reputation. Their bodies are unlikely to be found due to the planet's conditions.
FAUNA: It's highly unlikely for complex life to exist here.

Environment[]

Dine has many large protrusions on its surface that are decorated with rocks and trees. The ground has darker areas, most likely a pseudo-path, that could be mistaken for quicksand if the moon were to be rainy. There are a dangerous amount of steep cliffs and holes that will either kill or trap employees; if trapped in a hole, an Extension Ladder or a Teleporter could be used to escape. Near the center of the map, there is a pipe that protrudes from the ground and follows a chain-link fence before both of them disappear into a nearby hill.

Taking the middle path from the Ship will lead you to the Main Entrance, the Fire Exit is a bit further away from the Ship and sits on the big building in the back you can see when landing. On the far right of the map, you'll find a few lamps, reminiscent to the ones found on Rend, however these lamps don't act as a guide to the main entrance. They're surrounded of dense forest and steep cliffs, with a fallen tree propped up by a large rock near the end of the lamps closest to the ship.

Weather[]

Dine supports 3 weather types; Flooded, Eclipsed, and Rainy.

Flooded[]

Dine when flooded works like Adamance where the flood actually decreases instead of increases. This means that the Fire Exit is flooded making it inaccessible so you can only use the Main Entrance in the beginning. It's also underwater meaning you have to be careful if there are monsters nearby because it is hard to get out of the water quickly. Later in the run the flood will subside, making it possible to use the Fire Exit again. After 11AM, the route to the Fire Exit perpendicular to the center of the large fence in the middle of the map will open up.

Eclipsed[]

Dine when eclipsed can be hard since the foggy snow storm doesn't affect enemies, so they can see you before you can see them. Try to stick to the dark path or a route you're familiar with when eclipsed, since there are no useful lights on Dine. If a giant finds you, you'll know your way back to the ship and won't get lost.

Rainy[]

Dine with rainy weather can be very difficult due to the visual similarity of the dark path and mud puddles, which can be very hard to spot up against hills, making it easy to die in them. Because of the map's many short paths to the Main Entrance or Fire Exit, mud puddles may completely block a path to escape or enter the building, which can force a longer route.

Entities[]

Indoor[]

Butlers are extremely common on Dine, making it dangerous to explore alone. Compared to the other snowy moons (Rend and Titan), Dine has a much lower spawn chance of Jesters and Nutcrackers. Note: Mask Hornets do not spawn like normal monsters. The only way they can spawn is if you kill the Butler, meaning they have the same chance to spawn as the Butler.

Dine supports a high chance of Forest Keepers and Eyeless Dogs, making it dangerous to transport loot without keeping an eye or an ear out.

Strategy[]

Dine's map offers a lot of cover with its many hills, this should be taken advantage of when there's a Forest Keeper or an Old Bird nearby, making it important to know the outdoor map. If coming from the Fire Exit, you may take an alternate route around the side to hide from giants. The inside is mostly dominated by Butlers so it is recommended not to loot alone if you want to minimize danger. It is also recommended you don't attack the Butlers until you're about to leave, since the Mask Hornets can add difficulty to collecting scrap. Kill Butlers before you leave for their kitchen knives for more credits and a weapon which you can use to one-hit Butlers in the future. Make sure not to forget about other monsters, though, as they will still spawn and require dealing with as well.

Notes[]

  • When employees leave the ship, there will be a dark path on the ground they can follow to get to the main entrance and Fire Exit.
  • Despite the description of the moon, there is dangerous wildlife here that will come out very early in the day. Due to the low visibility and tight map of Dine, it can get quite difficult to avoid them, but you can use the many hills to your advantage to stay out of a monster's line of sight.
  • The route to the main entrance is slightly shorter than the route to the fire exit, but both are easy to get to. The main entrance becomes crucial during floods though because the fire exit will be flooded at the beginning before the water level goes down.
