Lethal Company Wiki

20-Adamance is a moon in Lethal Company, which was added in v50 and has a difficulty rating of intermediate. The surface of Adamance is dominated by a large valley in the center that employees must traverse to reach the facility. Alternatively, employees can use the rickety bridge that spans the valley, similar to the one on Vow.

This moon has a cottage, which contains a clue to discovering a new moon: 68-Artifice.

Adamance has a fire-exit to the left of the main entrance, which has several ways to reach it, with the quickest being by jumping across the broken bridge on the left side of the map.

Moon Info[]

20-Adamance

-----------------------

Population: Abandoned

CONDITIONS: Erosion and geographical forces have resulted in a landscape of deep valleys and mountains.

HISTORY: Adamance is the biggest and oldest of what are colloquially referred to as the "Green Witches": Vow, March, and Adamance, which orbit No Service.

FAUNA: Adamance is home to a lively, diverse ecosystem of smaller-sized omnivores.

Environment[]

Adamance has a large valley between the main entrance and the ship, as well as a lot of steep slopes. Traversing the valley is quite time consuming and gets dangerous later in the day when monsters start to spawn like Baboon Hawks and Forest Keepers, which can spot you from very far away or block a path. The moon has a lot of shortcuts to avoid these and make transferring scrap a lot safer.

Cottage[]

Adamance has a cottage located in the center of the valley, just below the long bridge. Its door is locked and requires a key or lockpicker to open and get inside to see the writing "68-ART" on the wall, telling the player about one of the secret moons; Artifice. This writing can also be seen through one of the windows in the back, eliminating the need to unlock the door.

In flooded weather of 20-Adamance, whole valley in the centre of moon is submerged by flooded water at the start of day. The cottage inside is full of water too. As time goes by, the water level of the entire moon will decrease, and the water level inside the cottage will be declined too.

The light and the door in cottage can be regular used when drown by water, and the light still be opened originally.

Bridges[]

There are two bridges on the moon. The bridge to the right of the ship is very long and can break when stood on it for too long. The bridge to the left is much shorter and also broken. You can jump from one side to the other, but one side can collapse if used too much.

If the bridge is broken but there are entities (such as Eyeless Dog, Baboon Hawk) on it, the entities will be glitched on the original position and not vertical drop. Obviously, this is a bug because the physics engine for the "bridge break" process only applies to employees.

Long Bridge[]

Long Bridge

Broken Long Bridge

The long bridge has a predetermined durability similar to Vow's bridge and once that durability reaches 0, the bridge collapses. As long as nobody is standing on the bridge, the durability slowly regenerates back to full over 5 seconds. The time it takes for the bridge to collapse depends on the number of employees standing on it and the weight of those employees. It should be noted that this bridge breaks a lot quicker than the one on Vow making it a bad option to get back scrap.

Employees on Long Bridge Individual Weight Time to Break
1 5 lb 33.5s
2 5 lb N/A
3 5 lb N/A
4 5 lb N/A
1 25 lb 7s
1 100 lb 5.1s
1 314 (max weight) 2.8s
4 314 (max weight) N/A

Short Bridge[]

Short Bridge in 20-Adamance

Short Bridge

Broken short bridge

Broken Short Bridge

The short bridges durability works differently than the long bridge's one. Instead of it being a value that goes down and can regenerate, it's a "life" system. Meaning that if you touch it by jumping on it, it will lose one "life". It can be jumped on three times and the forth time will always break it. How long you stand on it and how much you weigh does not affect it breaking. Once it breaks there will be a small metal beam which can still be used to jump across if you aren't too heavy.

Regardless of which bridge, falling from the bridge will result in a lot of damage and should be avoided.

Tower[]

The tower is a prominent building on the moon that can be seen from the surface. It has no practical use whatsoever and just serves a decorative purpose.

It is possible to reach the tower with the jetpack (or with Tulip Snakes). You can also perform a fairly easy jump by the quicksand patch to reach it but you can't climb up it.

Quicksand[]

Red Words' position is Quicksand's Layer.

Near the Main Entrance towards the tower, there is a large quicksand patch, which will always be there, just like those on March. Its purpose is most likely to stop players from jumping out of bounds at this spot but as mentioned before, you can still do that. If you do it you'll also find a hole with a sign next to it which isn't normally accessible. You can also perform another jump by the quicksand which opens up a quick and safe path back to the ship.

Weather[]

Adamance can experience all types of weather; Rainy, Stormy, Foggy, Flooded and Eclipsed.

Flooded[]

Compared to most other moons with flooded weather, this moon is different. Instead of water rising, the water will actually decrease. In the beginning the valley will be flooded forcing you to use one of the two bridges on the moon, though as mentioned before, the water will decrease, making it possible to go into the valley later in the run.

Adamance Flooded Timelapse

Eclipsed[]

Adamance will spawn at least both N/A indoor and outdoor entity while eclipsed. This can make it quite difficult to collect scrap here if you come unprepared so it is advised that new employees stay away from eclipsed Adamance.

Stormy[]

Stormy is a pain to deal with since you can't use the long bridge to get back, seeing as it breaks when you're on it for too long, so you cannot drop your items there, forcing you to take the long route instead with all the different enemies while having to drop your metal midway to not get struck by lightning.

Foggy[]

Foggy can get annoying at times, map awareness is key which makes it much easier to deal with. Just keep in mind that monsters can still spot you from quite far away without you being able to see them.

Rainy[]

When rainy most mud puddles will spawn inside the valley so be careful when going down the slope, it is advised to use the bridges as much as possible while still mapping the valley so you know where the puddles are located if/when the bridges collapse.

Entities[]

Indoor[]

Thumpers and Bunker Spiders are the most common indoor Entities on Adamance. While Bunker Spiders can be easy to avoid, Thumpers can be hard to deal with. It is advised to bring a Shovel to be able to kill them if you get hunted by either one of them or other indoor monsters.

Outdoors[]

The Baboon Hawks are by far the most common entity on Adamance. This can make it risky to leave your scrap outside, since they can steal it, and if stored inside, Hoarding Bugs can steal it. Unlike the other lush moons; March and Vow, the Forest Keeper isn't that common here, but due to the high power level, there is most likely still going to be one.

Adamance has the lowest circuit bee spawn chance out of all the forest moons (Adamance, March and Vow).

Strategy[]

The main strategy for this moon is to go when there is no weather. If you only have a flashlight/pro-flashlight or an item, that weighs less, the bridge is a reliable and quick way to get to the main entrance (should be used one player at a time), though it is highly unadvised to use it to get back. If you are going to use the bridge to go back to the ship, it is highly advised to only do this on your last trip back, as that way if it breaks it will be less detrimental. If any weather has occurred, it is recommended to use the fire exit, as most enemies not already present at it struggle to path find to it. If any Tulip Snakes spawn, they can be used as a substitute to either of the bridges. If you do plan to use the valley the entire time, unlock the cottage door so you have an emergency saferoom from enemies.

Notes[]

  • Make sure to check for Circuit Beehives below the short bridge and on the valley pathways in order to prevent yourself from taking further damage upon either breaking.
  • Adamance is the only moon in the game which can spawn every indoor, outdoor and daytime entity.
  • Adamance, along with Artifice, has the second-highest outdoor power level at 13, only behind Embrion's ridiculous 70. Meaning it can get very dangerous outside, so try to transfer loot as early as possible.
